Several PhD positions are available in the NMR/EPR research groups of New York University, in the groups of Avalos, Traaseth, and Jerschow. Please consult the Mag Res Research page for an overview of projects and facilities: https://wp.nyu.edu/artsampscience-nmr/.
A wide range of project opportunities exist for student trainees, including the development of solid-state NMR methodology, the study of membrane proteins, the development of MRI technology, hyperpolarization, the study of nuclear spin singlet states, battery research, EPR spectroscopy, study of singlet states, and battery research.
PhD students receive full tuition benefits and a generous stipend to pursue graduate studies. The Magnetic Resonance research groups at NYU are located within steps of Washington Square in Manhattan.
Applications are due on December 12, 2021 and interested students with backgrounds in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, and/or Biophysics are encouraged to apply. Further details on the application can be found here: https://wp.nyu.edu/artsampscience-nmr/positions/. Applicants should select the PhD track in Chemistry through the online application.
Informal inquiries with the research group leaders are welcome.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Best Regards,
Claudia Avalos
Nate Traaseth
Alexej Jerschow
