Postdoc position in DNP MAS NMR in the group of Frédéric Blanc at the University of Liverpool
We are looking to recruit a postdoc to work on the development of DNP MAS NMR and its application in materials chemistry. The position is available on a fixed term basis until 31/01/2024.
This project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust and will focus on developing DNP MAS NMR by exploring new experimental methodologies using a wide range of easily accessible polarising agents and identifying experimental conditions for local site directed electron spin labelling. This includes experimental DNP MAS NMR measurements and understanding electron – nucleus spin dynamics. The project will require the postdoc to have extensive expertise in DNP MAS NMR, preferably on the commercial hardware accessible at our partner sites, complemented with additional skills in EPR, numerical simulations and materials chemistry. The successful applicant may not have expertise in all additional skills, however a willingness to learn and adapt to new skills is essential.
We are open to a variety of candidates for this role: the main criterium is a proven track record in a discipline of DNP and/or MAS NMR.
To be considered for this post, you should include a cover letter that clearly highlights your skills and how you meet the criteria set out in the person specification, a CV, and the contact details of academic referees. Applications should be made on the University of Liverpool jobs portal at https://my.corehr.com/pls/ulivrecruit/erq_jobspec_details_form.jobspec?p_id=035373 before 05/11/2021. Informal enquiries are welcome at frederic.blanc@liverpool.ac.uk
