PhD in membrane protein folding by NMR, the University of Guelph
We are currently looking for a motivated graduate student in the protein NMR group at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. The candidate will use magic angle spinning NMR techniques, e.g., hydrogen-deuterium exchange and structural measurements complemented with a wide range of biophysical and optical methods, to study the mechanisms and energetics of membrane protein folding. The NMR research will be conducted at the University of Guelph NMR Centre, which is equipped with an array of solid-state NMR spectrometers operating at field strengths from 500 MHz to 800 MHz, and with a 600 MHz/395 GHz Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) NMR spectrometer (https://www.uoguelph.ca/aac/facilities/nmr-centre). The candidates must have a degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry or related disciplines. Applications to both the Department of Physics (http://www.physics.uoguelph.ca ) or Biophysics Interdepartmental Group (https://www.uoguelph.ca/biophysics/welcome-biophysics ) are accepted. Candidates from Ukraine are encouraged to apply.
