Postdoctoral Research Fellow: NMR/MRI/hyperpolarization
Interested candidates are invited to apply for a postdoctoral research position at the Center for Biomedical Imaging in the New York University Grossman School of Medicine (NYU) and NYU Department of Chemistry. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary, biomedical research team focusing upon hardware and technical development for improved lung imaging applications. The principal project line comprises of a novel approach for hyperpolarization of water vapor to enhance imaging of the lungs.
The position is open to applicants with a Ph.D. in NMR-/ MRI-related fields with an emphasis in biomedical engineering, chemistry, or physics. Proficient technical computing in Matlab, python, or related environments is prerequisite. A record of peer-reviewed journal publications will be weighed strongly in consideration of prospective candidates.
The project will be lead jointly with the NYU department of chemistry and the Center for Biomedical Imaging, Department of Radiology, both located in Manhattan. This arrangement brings together a vast assembly of senior and support personnel, and the state-of-the-art in technological resources related to basic and translational biomedical imaging. Salary will be commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Subsidized housing within walking distance to the laboratory may be offered depending on availability. A two-year time commitment is expected, with a possible extension.
