Postdoctoral positions are available in Rob Tycko’s group in the Laboratory of Chemical Physics, NIDDK, National Institutes of Health, located in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. Our research projects cover a wide variety of topics, including novel time-resolved solid state NMR studies of biomolecular structure-formation processes (see Jeon et al., JACS 2020; Wilson and Tycko, JACS 2022), structural studies of protein assemblies by solid state NMR and cryo-EM (see Gupta et al., PNAS 2020; Lee et al., Nature Comm. 2020), and DNP- enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (see Chen et al., PNAS 2022). New projects will also be developed, depending on the skills and interests of new group members. Candidates with either biology/biochemistry or chemistry/ physics backgrounds are encouraged to apply, as our work is very multidisciplinary. If you are interested, please send your CV and a brief description of your background and interests to robertty@mail.nih.gov .
