University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) has an open position for Staff NMR Chemist. This is a full-time research position, benefits eligible, 403(b) with employer match, paid time off including vacations and holidays, etc.
A successful candidate will work in conjunction with other staff scientists and engineers within UDRI and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) located in Dayton, OH.
We have recently installed a 400 MHz Bruker Advance Neo NMR fitted with a Klystron DNP, representing the first user-installed Klystron within the United States.
This position holds a high level of autonomy for method development and operation of MAS NMR with and without the assistance of DNP signal enhancement, specifically for materials research in areas of heterogenous catalysis including but not limited to metals, metal oxides, & zeolites. Additionally, from time-to-time outside projects/ collaborations will arise in other applications of interest to AFRL as a whole.
