Postdoc in optimal control design of DNP experiments focused on software development
A postdoc position is available in development of software for optimal control design of dynamic nuclear polarisation (DNP) experiments in the group of Prof. Niels Chr. Nielsen at the Danish Center for Ultrahigh-Field NMR spectroscopy. The project will involve formulation of theory and programming procedures within the SIMPSON platform to efficiently cope with combined electron-nuclear spin-systems with specific focus on the design of many-spin pulsed DNP experiments using optimal control. The project is carried out in collaboration with mathematics and engineering experts in the field and will experimentally be backed up with DNP equipment using fast waveform generation. The postdoc will collaborate also with Dr. Zdenek Tosner (Charles University, Prague), Assoc. Prof. Claudia Strauch (Aarhus University), and Prof. Thomas Vosegaard (Aarhus University).
The application deadline is December 4, 2022, and the intended start of the postdoc period is February 1, 2023 (or as soon as possible). The position is for 21 months (may be extended depending on availability of funding).
