Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a 3-day workshop at the Utrecht NMR group (https://www.uu.nl/en/research/nmr) that will introduce the basic principles of enhanced sensitivity solid-state and solution NMR methods to study large biological complexes and cellular preparations. The course will feature morning lectures from local staff as well as from international experts on the 3 main topics:
- Methyl-TROSY NMR for large soluble biological complexes
- Proton detection in solid state NMR
- DNP-enhanced solid-state NMR
Each afternoon is reserved for hands-on studies on the available UU NMR equipment including a 1.2 GHz NMR instrument and high-field (800 & 400 MHz) DNP instrumentation. For further information, please see here:
https://www.uu.nl/en/research/nmr/nmr-facility/workshop
Course participation is free of charge and we will be happy to provide financial support for travel and accommodation (up to 500 Euros). In addition, catering as well as lab materials will be covered.
This workshop is organized under the umbrella of i.Next Discovery (https://inext-discovery.eu/) and can accommodate a maximum of 12 researchers (PhD or Postdoc) level.
To apply, please email a motivation letter and your CV to:
Geeske Badart, NMR secretary, NMR group email: science.secr.nmr@uu.nl
We look forward to welcoming you to Utrecht!
