We are hiring!

If you have two years or more of postdoctoral training and would like to advance your career as a research scientist, without serving as an independent investigator, we have a position available in my lab at the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

You will be a part of our exciting NIH-funded research programs (R01-GM145783 and R37 MERIT Award-CA265877) that focus on mechanistic studies of membrane transport and the regulation of high-impact key therapeutic kinase or membrane transporter targets in metastatic cancer and other diseases. Practical experience in one of the areas of structural biology/spectroscopy, including cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, fluorescence spectroscopy, or EPR spectroscopy is preferred. The position offers a competitive salary based on experience, and career advancement opportunities will be strongly supported and encouraged through the NCI R50 Research Specialist (Laboratory-based Scientist) Award (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-23-242.html [grants.nih.gov]) or the NIH K01 Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-20-190.html [grants.nih.gov]).

The Doisy Research Center EPR facility is equipped with an EMX X-band continuous-wave (CW) EPR spectrometer and a Bruker ELEXSYS E580 Q-band pulse EPR spectrometer. Cryo-EM images will be collected on a state-of-the-art Titan Krios G3 300kV Cryo-TEM available at our affiliated WUCCI center (https://wucci.wustl.edu/facilities/cryo-em/ [wucci.wustl.edu]).
