Postdoctoral Research Fellow: ESR / NMR /Hyperpolarization
Applications are solicited for an individual to be appointed as a postdoctoral researcher at New York University under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Claudia E. Avalos. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics or a related field with an expertise in magnetic resonance, ideally with experience in optics and electron spin resonance methods. Successful applicants should be highly motivated with an interest in working on the development of methods exploiting optically induced spin polarization in small molecules for nuclear magnetic resonance and quantum sensing applications. In addition to advancing research projects, the postdoctoral fellow will be expected to mentor and work alongside chemistry graduate and undergraduate students.
The terms of employment are for one year, with a possibility of renewal, include a competitive salary and other benefits. Subsidized housing within walking distance to the laboratory may be offered depending on availability.
To be considered, all applicants must submit (1) a cover letter summarizing research experience and specifying their interest in this position; (2) a curriculum vitae (including a full list of publications); and (3) a brief statement of research interests (one to two pages). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and candidates will be considered until the position is filled. E-mail applications to Dr. Avalos at Claudia.avalos@nyu.edu.
