The High Field NMR Center of Lyon (CRMN) is hiring a Research Engineer on a two-year position to join the support team in charge of maintenance and operation of the NMR instruments.
The recruited person will be more specifically in charge of the solid-state DNP instrumentation (supervision, training, troubleshooting, upgrade, etc). They will also work closely with the research groups of the center and will in parallel develop advanced DNP NMR research projects with external users in the context of the PANACEA European network (panacea-nmr.eu) as well as of the national infrastructure (infranalytics.fr).
The solid-state DNP NMR facility at CRMN includes the following instruments:
- a 400 MHz Bruker Avance III, equipped with a 263 GHz gyrotron, as well as 3.2 mm and 1.3 mm DNP probes
- a 800 MHz Bruker Avance Neo, equipped with a 527 GHz gyrotron, as well as 3.2 mm, 1.3 mm and 0.7 mm DNP probes
The position is a fixed-term contract for two years, after which it is expected to transition into a permanent position.
This position requires a strong background in solid-state NMR. Experience in DNP MAS NMR is considered as a plus. The position involves not only technical skills in instrumentation but also abilities to contribute to research projects on state-of-the-art DNP methodology.
