The NSF funded National High Magnetic Field Laboratory is sponsoring an in depth workshop on building MRI coils for preclinical imaging the week of May 4th- 8th, 2020 at the MagLab AMRIS facility, located at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

The content is designed to introduce graduate and post-doctoral students to the fundamentals of MRI coil design, construction, and testing. The workshop will focus on technical details of coil design and construction, including electromagnetic simulations using CST, practical aspects of circuit design and construction, coil assembly and tuning, and coil testing. Participants will each build their own working surface coil that they will be able to take to their home lab on completion of the workshop.

Cost of the workshop is $100 and spots are extremely limited. Participants will be responsible for their travel and lodging; lunches and workshop supplies are included.
