New York University’s Provost’s postdoctoral fellowship/‘faculty fellow’
We are writing to identify suitable candidates for an New York University’s Provost’s postdoctoral fellowship award for an appointment as ‘faculty fellow’. The program provides fellows with faculty mentoring, professional development, and academic networking opportunities. The ultimate goal of the program is for participants to join the ranks of faculty at competitive institutions.
Fellows will be appointed as “Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow” and will receive a $42,000 nine-month salary; an annual housing allowance ($20,000); a research allowance ($2,000); and reimbursement for one-time relocation fees (up to $3,000). Such compensation will be subject to appropriate taxation. The University also provides a benefits package, including medical and dental coverage.
The fellowship starts in September 2020 and applications are due by Oct 28, 2019.
New York University is located in the heart of Manhattan (Greenwich Village).
Research opportunities in the Department of Chemistry include work in areas of materials science and chemical biology. NMR-related projects are available in the department in the groups of Nate Traaseth and Alexej Jerschow and involve research on membrane protein transporters in drug resistance, receptor tyrosine kinases, solid-state NMR methodology, the study of singlet state lifetimes, para-hydrogen induced polarization, MRI of batteries and battery materials.
